Skill Centres are skill development programs geared towards U9, U10 and U11 players that want to
focus more on soccer. They provide a challenging, enjoyable environment for players to develop
and nurture the skills required to succeed in soccer. Our program is aligned with Canada Soccer
and Soccer Nova Scotia’s Skill Centre principles.

There are two practices per week and participation in the NSSL Festival League. Festivals will
occur on 10 weekends throughout the season beginning in
June.

Coaching
There will be several volunteer coaches and Valley United staff who will assist in the delivery of
the program.
All Valley United coaches are mandated to complete all requirements by our governing bodies
(Soccer Nova Scotia and Canada Soccer) including their soccer-specific training and a Criminal
Record Check with Vulnerable Sector screen.
